As a powerful antiseptic it is often used in hospital to cleanse skin after surgery also to treat bites from snakes and the healing of ulcers.

Buriti Oil (Mauritia flexuosa, Arecaceae) is a redish brown, dry oil with an earthy smell.

The Buriti Oil is considered to be the richest natural source in beta-carotene, exceeding 5 times what is found in carrots (6,6 milligrams/100 g pulp).  Beta-carotene is one of the most powerful antioxidants, known for its ability to renew cells, and serves as an excellent natural skin exfoliator. Due to its ability to absorb radiation in the range of visible and ultraviolet light, Buriti oil is used by the cosmetic industry as a solar filter that reduces the dryness of the skin. In anti-aging formulas this oil increases the elasticity of the skin.

Acai Berry Oil - Smell, feel and taste.

Acai Berry Oil smells exactly like the pulp, fruity and a bit sweet but it is a faint scent that goes away a few seconds after application. 

It has a greenish deep brown color and it is a dry oil, it also absorbs very quickly.

This is an edible oil full of nutrients and the taste is very mild.

Brazil Nut Oil - Benefits and Uses

Brazil Nut has a very pleasant, light aroma. It is light yellow and it is a dry, light oil - It does not feel very heavy upon application.

Due to its anti-free radical, antioxidant, and moisturizing properties, the cosmetic industry uses the seed oil from this tree in anti-aging skin products. It is also considered one of the best conditioners for damaged and dehydrated hair.

Brazil Nut Oil is great for treating psoriasis, eczema, chronic dry skin, and other skin conditions.  It's quick absorption makes it perfect for use in lotions, skin creams, and hair conditioners as well.
